Did the picking up weapons have to happen in an entry, or can I decide that here? I think my lenghty hiatus derived me of some details. Do I have to post about it, or is it too late?

The first half of this plot would be thisaway! The details about how/where the weapons were obtained can be found there! Technically, as long as you didn't establish that they didn't get one, you can imply that it happened at some point.

As for weapons they already own, if they're on their person when they enter I would say that the weapons are removed and they're restricted only to what they picked up in the forest itself.
