What if a character's bad end involves another character on the ship?

I think that would have to be worked out on a case-by-case basis between the two players. You can have it so that they're experiencing the same kind of nightmare in both their rooms, or a "fake" version of that person appears for them. BUT I will say that if it's someone else's character you will want to discuss it with them first.

How would fears more centered on the characters' own state like, say, futility of action, insanity, loneliness and whatnot manifest?

So in other words, other characters can now see what Kanda basically sees all the time, regardless of this event, only ten-fold because it's a reinforced illusion?
