Anomaly

Appearance:Jade has a surprisingly youthful appearance, and is also rather handsome. She easily looks five or ten years younger than she is, with or without her glasses on. History:Jade Curtiss was born Jade Balfour, and raised in the winter wonderland-esque city of Keterburg along with her sister Nephry, friend Peony, and her not really a friend more like lackey, Saphir (later called Dist ( ... )

Dist had come to Jade in secret (or, mostly secret, rather, as the woman had the (mis?)fortune of running into the third of their trio, the then Emperor Peony, during her visit) and spoke to Jade about a man she had come to know- the Order of Lorelei's Commandant, Van Grants. She told Jade annoyingly vague details about what Grants was planning, which caused Jade to... 'encourage' Dist to be more direct with her. Once the plan was laid out (or what Dist had been told of it, anyway) Jade understood why they wanted her- for the fomicry. It was, of course, possible for Dist to oversee its use herself, but it would be highly preferable to have the science's very originator there ( ... )

Jade Curtiss 4/5 <--- I lied. 8( ostia September 28 2008, 00:09:28 UTC
Not only can she wield fonic artes with ease, but Jade is also a master of the spear. While she may prefer to stand back a bit and destroy something neatly with a fonic arte, when it comes to close combat the woman can hold her nearly as well.

A last strength, and one that helps her both on and off the battle field, would be Jade's ability to retain her composure. She can stay calm and evaluate a situation coolly, without the usual panic that many experience that only leads to disorder and mistakes. This calmness of her's also allows for her to lie, or hide the direct truth, easily, without anyone having ever known the difference.

A list of Strike Artes and Fonic Artes can be found here.

Weaknesses:Jade's primary weakness is a sort of lack of humanity. Many, or most, really, emotions don't strike Jade as deeply (if at all) than they do to other people. This keeps her from really understanding what another is feeling, even if she can analyze the situation and determine how they are likely to act because they are feeling that way. ( ... )

Personality: Literal silent protagonist. There is an awkwardness about Caim, though. He doesn't seem to know how to interact with people anymore because he has been at war for so long. It seemed as though he allowed hate and rage to fuel him for so long that without such emotions; he does not quite know how to function. Yet, that does not mean that he is completely hopeless in the ways of being a personable person. There is some kindness hidden in him - meant for his sister and his best friend, yes, but it once was there. Not gone forever, but it takes people to force him to remember that he is more than a soldier. The Red Dragon often said that he needed to cease clinging to such emotions or it would end in his own destruction ( ... )

It is then that the Red Dragon began to speak to him. A moment of insanity - perhaps - but he decided that he would not allow himself to die at this place. He was going to force the dragon to accept a pact with him. Before he could do that, however, he had to fight off a wave of Empire soldiers. Afterwards, it seemed like he had proved himself worthy to the beast and the two were bonded in a pact. The wounds that they were suffering from healed instantly (not that Caim seemed like he was that bothered by his o-o;). That said, the two of them went about and took out the small portion of the army that Caim had not already killed before storming the castle to save Furiae ( ... )

This hurt her more than she could bear and ended up taking her own life. Caim blamed Manah for driving his sister to suicide and wanted revenge. He did not get it, however. That is, he was not the one to kill Manah. Seere's pact-beast was the one to do it; for the sake that Seere did not want Manah to have to suffer anymore. Upon Manah's death, it unlocked the seal that was holding the Watchers at bay. They began to fill the world and it was up to the group to go kill them. Unfortunately, everyone except for Caim ended up being murdered in some way by them - eaten by the ravenous Gods. When Caim flew towards the mother beast, he was sent into a dimension that disrupted time and space. This was how he entered the Crucible.

A rabbit hole in the sky.

Strengths: Berserker. Why would this be considered strength? Well, in battle, Caim can be injured to the point of death yet still have enough strength of will and power to be able to mow down an entire army - literally an entire fucking army. By himself. That said, someone could set him ( ... )

Character Name: The TARDIS
Fandom: Doctor Who
Gender: female
Age: 1,200+
Sexuality (if applicable): Doctor-sexual
Original or Anomaly?: anomaly

*It should be noted that the majority of the TARDIS canon comes from audios, particularly Zagreus, but also pulls from the Short Trips books, various novels (like the Eighth Doctor Adventures series) and, of course, canon. If anything needs further clarification, I would be happy to provide.

Appearance: If this were any other time, the TARDIS would look like a big, blue police box with an infinite interior. Something like this (exterior) and this (interior). This would also happen to be her incarnation during the Eighth Doctor's time, so ( ... )

Personality: Part ship, part home, part companion, part friend. The TARDIS is a rather lot of things, both to the Doctor, his companions, and herself, and she's far from simple to understand, especially considering she's a transportation device. She's been called the Doctor's only constant by the Doctor himself, as she is the only travelling companion who has remained with him indefinitely. That's the problem with humans -- their lives are short, and the Doctor's lifestyle is not something with which they can keep up. But the TARDIS, well...she's been with him since he first stole her, and loyally so ( ... )

History: Born on Gallifrey, the TARDIS actually began life as a small plant in a large 'garden' with others of her species. Cultivated from the beginning to eventually be a spaceship for the Time Lords, the TARDIS was eventually fitted with bits and pieces of Time Lord technology around which she grew, developing a black hole core from which she obtains her time travelling powers. When she was big enough, more Gallifreyan technology, such as the coordinate console, was added to her core column. Eventually, all the systems integrated with her biology and the TARDIS came fully into her powers ( ... )

History con'tIn that time they travelled, in all the situations they found themselves in and the skirmishes they fought, it wasn't only the Doctor who took damage. The TARDIS suffered injury after injury in service to her Doctor, brutal beatings to her exterior, being shot, torn asunder. The Time Lady Romana drilled holes in her console and she was dismantled and blown apart. She suffered as near to death as possible and ripped apart the fabric of time and space to protect her Doctor, tearing herself apart until she was naught but a broken, skeletal shell looming over Gallifrey, ready to destroy the planet to save him ( ... )

First Person Sample:

*swings his feet as he sits on the edge of the ship, clinging to the rail as he looks down at his reflection in the rushing water*

Mn. This place ain't so bad! No missions to do! No more failures, and no more cleaning up the lounges. I never did like that chore wheel Zexion and Lexaeus had. And it's around water! This is so great. I love the smell of the salty air of the water. So nice!

Third Person Sample:Demyx wriggled his feet as he sat on the edge of his bed. Today was another day on this boat. Sure some people were freaked out by the fact that they suddenly appeared here and they were all freaked out, but Demyx didn't mind it one bit. It was probably due to the fact he loved water itself ( ... )

Character Name: Roxas
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Gender: Male
Age: 20 (physically he's maybe five or six years old, but he's got a mental age sadly way beyond his actual or physical age)
Sexuality (if applicable): Asexual
Original or Anomaly?: Anomaly

Appearance: Roxas is blond, wiry, and battle-scarred. Those are the immediate impressions you'll take away when you get a look at him. Then you'll notice his eyes are this striking shade of blue that makes you want to stare. But those are his few noticeable characteristics. His blond hair is kept short and messy - short because it's easy, messy because he cuts it himself and isn't very good at it. Roxas cares little for how he looks, and it shows. He wears a lot of bland colors - lots of greys and off whites, sometimes tan and black. He does everything he can do not stand out, and aside from those blue eyes, not much about him does. But if you look closer, you can ( ... )

Roxas (Anomaly) 2/this is going to take a while aishiteru September 30 2008, 07:37:50 UTC
In this universe, no Nobody had ever possessed Keyblades before. There were plenty of Keyblade masters, scattered all across the stars, useful tools for the great and dark Organization. That group of Nobodies owned the worlds, half business, half terrorist. They would keep the worlds safe - in exchange for a few strong hearts, a few strong Keyblade masters. Those hearts would make clockworks to feed the gaping holes in the Nobodies' chests, give them emotions and a way to feel. But it was, of course, a self-fulfilling prophecy, and a macabre one at that. The Organization was like a parasite feeding off the worlds. The more hearts they took, the more Nobodies they created. More Nobodies meant more hearts to be scavenged. The cancer spread. But none of the worlds had the might to challenge the Organization. So Keyblade Masters were offered up to be scavengers, to collect those desperately needed hearts ( ... )

There was a beach, and a boy, and Roxas felt like he was looking into a mirror. The boy spoke, said something, but Roxas woke up before he could hear what it was.

That was when he knew, somehow, that there was more to his life out there than anyone had told him. He'd heard the whispers - things like "Other" and "Somebody" - but had never been able to put together the pieces until now. Why did he have the Keyblade? Who was he? Why did he exist? Roxas had to know. So he left ( ... )

Years passed this way. Roxas became something of an expert fugitive. He developed ridiculously honed reflexes from constantly evading the surprise attacks and ambushes meant to capture him. None of the Organization's lackeys ever laid a hand on him. There was one time where he came so close to being captured - because a man with bright red hair and green green eyes shouted his name and begged him to come back, and Roxas almost broke right then and there. But his legs carried him away before he could stop or give in. Roxas ran so far and so fast after that he never saw his friend again. Not after that day ( ... )
