So do jutsu's in general work, for the Naruto-verse characters, as long as it's not a creature/object summoning? Mostly want to clarify so that I know what I should do with Sasuke's abilities. =)

I would say jutsu in general work just fine, though for certain elemental jutsu there are limitations. You basically just follow common sense; Suiton and Doton jutsu are going to be hard to do, because there's not a lot of water or no real earth to work with. However, while keeping that in mind, you are free to us the majority of jutsu!

Heh, then fire jutsu would be okay (Sasuke seemed to generate the fire himself from either the slips of paper being activated) and I'd think lightning jutsu would work, just I'd feel it would mess around with electricity as well when in use. However, that I don't know!

Also, in the case of the biome, would certain jutsus be more effective there, simply because it's imitating a more natural reality for the Naruto-verse?

Do exploding tags work?

/sorry for the random question barrage!

Yeah, fire, lightning, and wind jutsu are probably the more effective on the ship.

As for the dome, I would say yes! It's exceptionally close to being real, close enough for jutsu, so they would more than likely be more effective.

Hmm, I would also say yes to the tags, in that I'm pretty sure it involves putting chakra into the tag itself? So if Sasuke made his own they should work.

Heh, no worries! :3 I don't mind answering whatever questions you may have.

This is just to do with applications-- I've got no problem in rewriting all the samples for an application, (since I'm doing it with Maya's) but I am curious. Is it alright if we reuse samples from other games that we've written? If not that's fine, but I just wanted to check before I wrote my second app. XD

It's perfectly acceptable to reuse old samples as long as they still fit in with the personality and history that you're providing! :)

All right, so the character that I'm applying for happens to have eidetic recall, so I'm wondering: is it possible to reproduce someone else's barcode and use it to hack into journals/systems/etc.? ;) Obviously, it would need player consent/mod approval, but, possible y/n?

Also: I'm confused about the lodgings issue. Are we allowed to apply for characters once the suites have filled up, or is the game closed to further applicants then? Or do characters that come in after the lodgings are full just become the ship hobos or something? XD;

It's entirely possible! Computers are hardly infallible, so as long as you seek prior approval it's possible within the game world. Of course, I'd ask moderation in how often you use it, but that's common sense and all that. :)

The suites, aka the finest rooms, are limited in number, but the number of applications is not. Once the suites are filled, all that means is that new characters won't have the option of having luxury rooms; it's basically a treat for early-comers, if their roll of the AIM dice is particularly lucky. ;D I roll the dice for all players, including myself, in such a way that there's a low, yet ever-present, percentage chance for them to be assigned a suite. I may or may not add more suites later, depending on the number of players. As for the rest of the rooms, there are 65 in all at this time, so I don't see the comm running out of space any time soon. If we DO happen to pass the 65 mark (which would be totally cool), then I will add additional housing to accommodate increased numbers. Either way, ( ... )

I... am so one of those annoying question-asking people.

With the journals/holographic communicators, how are multiple "calls" handled? Do individuals choose to reply to one person at a time; it can be considered delayed responses over time; can people view another conversation unless it is privatized, or is it always privatized be default? As in, what information is a character able to obtain in these journal entries that we, as players, are seeing?

Man, I just don't know what I'm going to do with you. ;D

All journals are public unless otherwise noted. As for how they're 'viewed'; the Sphere can display multiple journals at once. Think of it as a conference call with holograms. It's that feature that will allow for thread-hopping, if people so desire. Holograms can even see each other! Because it's just that much of a luxury ship. Of course, the more players you get the more holograms a character can see at one time, so they can choose to handle them one-on-one or a few at a time; what this means is that it's understood that, when this happens, it can be considered delayed responses over time. Whatever works best for you!

♥!

Alright, that makes sense. I also laugh at holograms seeing each other, and some sort of hologram catfight ensuing. This is probably just me, however. ;D

In this case, do the journals also have a recorded history? Or for each new arrival is the journal a blank slate, only showing people currently active from the point of their appearance forward?

Sadly, the entries are not archived in the Sphere's themselves! D: A character will only know the entries from their point of arrival onwards.

Alright, so I understand there can be threadhopping and that kind of thing, but what about filtering? Can two holograms filter to each other - even if it's a threadhopping situation?

In fact, what about filtering in general? Private filters, or filters to one person or multiple people. Would that be like filtering to specific sections of your "network"?

Yes to pretty much all of your questions! The filtering system works very much like a filter on most journals; you can exclude certain people from viewing what you're viewing. So pretty much anything, from the entries themselves to what's going on between just two people, can be blocked from all other holograms' view.
