he knows it could be hours before anyone arrives, but he's going to wait the entire day, just the same. there's a wealth of conflicting emotions on his face, but more than anything, he's glad. glad for the passengers. glad that despite all that happened and all the mistakes that he made, they're going to be alright. all of them.
save one. he can still picture his father, seated in a wheelchair in a padded room on the hospital level, staring off at nothing. mumbling to himself.
