I understand that those of the other houses do not have the same privileges of a good upbringing as I have had, but the blatant flirting occurring on these parchments is more than can be excused. It is quite disgusting. Especially when it is between that Weasel and a Hufflepuff ( Read more... )

I, for one, would be grateful if you 'deigned' to attend the study group, and if you would be willing to help your fellow students, that would be wonderful.

If you did join, are there specific times during the week that you would or would not be available for the study group? I would not want to have the study group interfere with Prefect duties.

How considerate of you.

However, as school has not begun yet, I do not know how many hours my prefect duties will take, nor when I shall be doing them. As such, I cannot answer your question.

I see sarcasm escapes you. I would have thought better of a Ravenclaw.

At least I don't need the practice, Malfoy, and I can still beat you at Quidditch.

Here to reaffirm your masculinity, Potter?

And I did not say anything about practicing, only that it was good weather to fly. Why you would take it as such a blow, Potter, is beyond me. Perhaps I've touched a nerve.

Don't need to reaffirm it, actually. Especially not with an effiminate balding prat.

You just keep telling yourself you're not practicing, Malfoy; I'm sure your father will be proud of you one of these days. It must be hard on him. His own son, not able to beat loony Potter at Qudditch.

Don't need to reaffirm it? Is that the reason you take a swipe at mine? You're pathetic, Potter.

Don't speak about my father, Potter. You are worth nothing compared to a man such as he.

And "loony Potter"? Are you quite alright? Been getting into the Muggle alcohols again, have we? Makes it easier to drown your hero pains?

You should join the study group. It should be fun terrorizing the other houses mingling with others.

If you are joining, Millicent, I believe my decision has already been made.

Get bent, Draco.

11am Diagon Alley you've been invited.

What are you referring to, Millicent.

Blatant flirting? Malfoy, is that the best you can come up with? I was not flirting with Weasley. And even if I was, what gives you the right to decide whether it's 'disgusting' or not?

Disgusting:

1 : to provoke to loathing, repugnance, or aversion : be offensive to
2 : to cause (one) to lose an interest or intention
intransitive senses: to cause disgust

As 'disgusting' is a subjective verb, I believe I have every right to find something as such.

I know what disgusting means, Malfoy, I was merely saying it's not up to you to state your opinion on this one.

You are contradicting yourself.

How can it possibly be "not up to me" to state "my opinion" in my own journal?

You cannot say that a situation cannot be viewed subjectively by someone simply because you do not, personally, appreciate the opinion.

However, I don't believe I could expect logic from a Hufflepuff.

Malfoy,
I'm probably going to get beaten up for this BUT:
Do you want to come to Diagon Alley with everyone? We're meeting at 11 at the Leaky Cauldron.

Do not assume that I would stoop so low as to 'beat you up', as you so eloquently put it. I am not akin to your hotheaded Gryffindor friends.

As to your questions: No. And I am quite put off by your audacity to ask me so.

I'm not worried about you beating me up, Malfoy. I'm worried about Millie!

Well, it's your loss. We'll all have fun and write about it incessantly while you can stay home. By yourself. With no friends and absolutely nothing to write about.

Have a nice day.

Indeed.

Now run along to your big bad friends. I am quite surprised you had the nerve to venture here alone. Is the failure, Longbottom finally showing some sort of spine? I will be sure to warn the other Slytherins.
