I for one do not have time for these parchments. However, Mother and Father have informed me of their benefit as they will now have better means of contacting me while I am at Hogwarts. However, as I am not, as yet, back in that pitiful excuse for a school, I do not see the reason for writing in this at all ( Read more... )

I must agree that it does seem rather pointless to assign these to us over the holidays, but I suppose Dumbledore wants us to get to know each other somewhat first. It's a novel idea, to be sure, but I don't know how useful it'll be. House loyalties/discriminations are already cropping up, and it's quite irritating.
