There seems to be an awful lot of buzzing on the network lately. Is there a spate of technological defects I should be aware of?

It's not a defect. These stupid things shock you when you don't use them for a 'long' time.

No, their communicators do.

I've heard a number of people grumble about being shocked for their inactivity, so it isn't a cleaver observation.

These communicators are interesting, regardless. Mine has turned on on its own a number of times. There's obviously people around here keeping a close eye on what goes on here.

Mine hasn't turned on by itself. Perhaps yours is defective.
