As someone who has been gone for a long time, let me tell you that you don't have to worry too much. I mean, you will anyway. But! A semester isn't all that much to miss; it's far more ideal than a year. You'll be in Greece long enough to enjoy what it has to offer, but not so long that you hate it. I was worried that everything would be different when I came back, but things were pretty much the same. The changes weren't all that earth-shattering...mostly just people drinking more than they did before I left. Ooh. Big deal. So long as you have people keeping in touch with you and keeping you in the loop, you won't feel like you're missing out on all that much, and what you do miss will be counter-balanced by what you are gaining in being away.
Kisses, lover...don't cry, it'll all be okay.
