1. Fairyland ( Lemongrass )
instrumental track
2. Simplicity ( Soma Sonic )
Eagerly seek
Find what I think
Given to you
Hope will take you through .
3. Dramamine ( Modest Mouse )
Look at your face like you're killed in a dream. And you think you've figured out everything.
I think I know my geography pretty damn well.
4. Renaissance Affair
Connects us to someone who doesn't know
About these feelings we can't control
5. Memories ( Eisley )
I'm always wondering where you are. Darling shouldn't I be the one,
Wondering after all I am the one who is gone.
[ This is a postmortem song wherein Kenny's subconscious wonders where he is, while at the same time Stan is wondering what Kenny is going through, now that he's dead. Kenny somehow realizes what Stan is thinking about and he can't help but think how sadly ironic it is that Stan is the only one wondering about him, because Kenny wasn't worrying about Stan- only about what lie ahead for himself. Death or another rebirth. ]
6. Wonderwall ( Cat Power ) / Oasis Cover
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me.
[ Pretty self-explanatory. Just another Kenny/Stan centric song dealing with their unspoken understandings and how they've come to rely upon each other, as well as their friends over the years. Only with the exception that Stan is more of a solid foundation for Kenny and vice-versa. A shared understanding, a complicated friendship. ]
7. Dead Hearts ( Stars )
They were kids that I once knew.
[ Basically this entire song is just about how the spirit lingers on in spite of loss. Stan sees Kenny's ghost everywhere he goes. He also realizes that the entire town is filled with restless spirits, hauntingly enough, all children. He tries to find Kenny in the crowd but he can never quite glance at him for long enough to feel consoled. He hates that he's still clinging to someone who's dead but he realizes he just wanted to hold/touch Kenny that last moment before he slipped away. Once he realizes what he wants, Kenny appears to him, allowing him to touch him, only to have his hand pass through him. Confirming once and for all to Stan that he's really gone. Making him wonder if all the ghosts were just Stan's own way of trying to make Kenny see he's not so alone.
At the same time, after allowing Stan to let go, Kenny wonders if he'll forget he ever existed. ]
8. The Man Who Lost his Soul ( Until June )
Growing up I found the life that I knew
Overshadowed by the anger in the clutch of abuse
[ A song that deals with Kenny and his parents. His many attempts at bettering them and then the realization that they'll never be decent human-beings. ]
9. Dying is Fine ( Ra Ra Riot )
Death oh baby
You know that dying is fine but maybe
I wouldn't like death if death were good
Not even if death were good
[ Just a song where Kenny muses on how things would be different if the world looked at death as the good thing and life as the hard/scary thing. Also, how he accepts death with open arms and has come to think of it as the good thing as opposed to go on living. ]
10. Atrophy ( The Antlers )
I'm bound to your bedside, your eulogy singer. I'd happily take all those bullets inside you and put them inside of my self.
[ A song that explains how Stan feels when Kenny finally dies, with no hope for return this time around. Stan explains if he'd known this would have been the last time, he would have gladly taken his place. ]
( also includes 2 bonus tracks ) .
