Uh-huh.

Totally just had a cigarette with Jeff Hardy.

EDIT: Some friends and I -- including Amy (tsunami) -- went to Backlash last night. Yes, yes, people are going to build a trailer around us, and I haven't watched wrestling in over five years, but who gives a damn, really. We arrived at the stadium drunk off our asses, and trolled the shit out of the ( Read more... )

Well, duh. I convinced myself that this would be the last time I attend an event, but after how fucking awesome that experience was, I'm re-thinking it.

Also, Amy claims to have overheard them making a Chris Benoit joke.

It was moreso laughing about a match he was in and then uncomfortable mumbling and silence. STILL KINDA FUNNY???

Yeah, kinda figured. As soon as I wrote "joke", I couldn't help but think: "But Edge smiled so adorably at me. There's no way he'd find a suicide/double-homicide hilarious."

I just got hit again with the striking realization that we initially suspected we'd be totally un-invested in the current performers, given how long it's been since we actually watched wrestling, and we just happened to run into the four people we loved and remembered. Cannot believe.

Holy shit I'm jealous, all I got to meet was Rico at Denny's like 6 years ago and who gives a shit about Rico? Except for the part when we tripped Jarrod and he laughed at him, that was pretty fantastic.

Sounds like you had fun, glad you finally met them.

It was entirely unexpected. In fact, I remember drunkenly mumbling in the car that you guys had met Rico years before, quite possibly in the same Denny's (the Coventry one, right?), and nothing else was stated or expected. Then suddenly...

Well. It was incredible. And I just remembered you guys tripping Jarrod, ha!

Yo. It's been 2 months. Shake a leg.

I understand a degree of aloofness. The Golden Age of Cinema - when stars didn't expose their mundanity in godawful DVD commentaries - can never, after all, be replicated.

That said, citations aplenty exist along the line of: the Internet (note capitalisation) is a living, breathing, organism. It exists in the now, only. We, the lecteurs, tend to become restless. We are Twitter whores; many, many of us. Not me, frankly - I've never yet visited the site. Yet a recognition of the symbolism inherent is present, nonetheless.

In short: give us wise words. We're waiting. (sounds of breathing.......)

My laptop backlight broke in April. Wire burnt to a crisp. Since then, I've been online minimally, since I'm borrowing a godawful computer.

There's also a combination of aloofness and cerebral stagnancy. I harbor plenty of thoughts, but I'm unsure of (1) how innovative they actually are; (2) how to properly convey them. Additionally, the bulk of my entries are typically spawned from unrepentant annoyance. The only things bothering me presently are either extremely personal or utterly banal, and I have principles against useless, white-noise posting.

Eventually, I'll have a sudden flash of inspiration, I'm sure, combined with the actual incentive to channel it here. And thus the world will continue to turn.
