Western Washington was THE growing region for apples in Washington until the Apple Maggot came along. This tanglefoot trap in Piper's orchard was loaded in about four days. click on the picture to see more of last weekend's work party photos.

Intresting, I was unaware of an apple maggot.
(Of course,I've been out of the loop this year.) I have not heard of this pest in the North Carolina or South Carolina crop, yet.
I wonder if it'll be a problem here.
I just talked to our local orchard about their crop yesterday, it sounds like they'll start picking in a few weeks.
