how can the college book store sell new textbooks for $140, used for $90 and yet i can find that exact same book online for $5?

because theyre ripping you off.
any other suggestions?

No, youre right.
They are TOTALLY ripping you off.
I bought a book for my speech class on half.com for 9 dollars.
And other people in my class payed around 80 dollars.
That's bullshit.
And I hate that when you sell them back, you get enough money to buy ONE book.
