ive read half of it but like theres something about it that im just like this is so borring...i dont know old english is really hard for me to bring alive...but like other boring texts really excite me...just something about it i just cant get it. haha im gonna finnish the other half.
Not to be hypertechnical, but Shakespeare isn't Old English, or even Middle English. Rather, he typifies the period between Middle English and Modern English known as Early Modern English. Instead of ennumerating the differences, I'll just give you a rough timeline: Old English was spoken from about the mid-400's to the mid-1100's. Middle English was spoken from about the mid-1000's to the late-1400's. Early Modern English was spoken from about the late-1400's to the mid-1600's.
