So, I pretty much hate a lot of things right now. But mostly that youth choir I'm in at church. I HATE it. Everytime I'm there, I get the shaft, big time. Not only do they screw me over by refusing to let me sing anything on my own, (even though everyone else in the group has...), I'm the butt of every joke the little directors make, and the ( Read more... )

Duh, I'm sure they would let you sing a solo. They're just going around the group so everyone gets a chance. I'm sure you're next in line. And the reason she always comments on you singing loud is because the rest of us (including me) are singing too softly. If you quit T of F, I'll pretty much be really mad at you. :)

I'm not gonna ask for a solo...that's conceited and stupid and I don't care *that* much. I just find it annoying how I'm getting skipped for every cantoring session, and for all the solo/duet things they're doing for that March thing. Guess Joel and April get to do that one...there's a surprise...

And duh, that time when she really got on me about the singing loudly...that was so stupid. It was me and 4 girls (plus her, and she sings louder than HELL (she says I'M loud! Bull!)), so I figured we could use some more guy sound, so I jacked up the volume level...it's stupid. W/e...I'm not gonna quit, I was just amd last night and I'm over it now, so it's cool. And please don't say anyting to them about me getting a solo, cuz that'll make me look really bad and I'm almost sorry I said anything...but not quite sorry enough to delete my post...=P

what are you talking about? The thing that Joel and April practice afterward for? Cuz that's for the mass for the graduates in May. I'll let you ask for the solo if you decide to. She does sing really loud, tho, and I think its crazy that she's always giving you crap about it, but w/e, maybe she's just trying to relate to us... or something. I've seen other adults do things like that to "try and relate." Who knows...

You're such a great friend. You really know what to say to lift someone's spirits when they're feeling down. Rubbing it in my face ALWAYS makes me feel better.

Don't quit! You guys are good, and I like it when you sing!! It makes church more interesting. And we can all have fun matching. I bet if you told the ladies that you wanted to solo they'd let you. Because you are amazing.
And dont sweat the other stuff, because in a week or so you won't even remotely care about it, so don't let it kill you now. Just find some delicious food, curl up with a good book, turn up the radio, and let all your troubles melt away. Or go for a run :) Be happy Dan!

Yeah, well since my family doesn't HAVE delicious food, I don't have TIME to read a book and running pretty much is the best thing in the world for making me feel like crap, your advice pretty much SUCKS, Michelle! =) Thanks anyway, though! -_-

I agree. Life sucks a lot. We should have a big party to bitch about it...or we should all hang out after speech. It'll pretty much be the same thing.
