So as I sit here at my lj, I think to myself: I'm a very patient person. I take full blown insults to the face and still come back. Is that rolling over? I think about that all the time. I have loyalty tattooed on my left side of my back and am thinking about respect on the right. Should I just add patience and tolerance to the list

Not post related, sorry hun, but i don't have an email for you and this is easier.

Doubtless I have no clue what's this is in reference too specifically, but I have actually been thinking about the same thing myself and I sometimes wonder if it has to do with the already established pattern we put ourselves in. People seem to have a harder time with an affable observer disagreeing with them than a controversial individual. To me you've always bee affable, observant and generally agreeable, though I don't know you well, and outside my tightest circle of friends I tend to appear this way too... it's when I let people in past that circle and express my opinions (of which I have many, generally analytical but sometimes irrational) that they are suddenly surprised and I feel much the same way you said here... that I'm not allowed to have opinions
