so here it is my little dudes and dudettes!
like all good things, the trip started with leaving california:
since it was the first leg of my trip, the 5 hours to boyd's house seemed to stretch for quite some time. but alas, i made it.
the arizona countryside was rugged and sexual:
hanging with boyd and harry was mighty fun. just like being back in cali(well, when he was still there).
while my company was incredibly engaging, boyd found counter-strike moreso:
holdin' it didown with the mcclaskey's:
the trip from arizona to arkansas was long and boring, broken only by a stay in the shifty new mexico(sorry logan). i had a AAA book and everything, but it still didn't help me find a motel. that took an hour and a half of driving aimlessly down new mexican backroads *shudder*.
i just couldn't resist taking the picture(street fighter is the reference):
arriving in arkansas was a treat for the eyes. the timing was perfect since i drove through when all the leaves were changing. too bad the instant camera doesn't take good high-speed pictures. they were all sorts of yellows, oranges and reds in the trees. in arkansas i stayed at nat's(family friend) house for the night.
the arkansas foliage(sp?) was beautiful:
from there i made a day long trip to tennessee. i stayed with my sister and nieces(sorry, no pictures) for about 3-4 days. we even threw down in some mario kart: double dash. it didn't rival the epic conflict that came about at boyd's.
arkansas was nothing compared to tennessee:
tennessee to south carolina was a nice drive. didn't take as long as i thought it would and i didn't die in a car accident(the scenery wasn't to shabby either). hooray! there was a pretty bad storm most of the drive(the entire trip) so about half the time all i could see was mist and rain. luckily though, i beat the storm when i left for SC. i felt terrible about leaving though since my dad asked me a favor(a favor, not an order, which made it all the harder to deny) to wait another day for the storm to pass. but God was with me on that trip(the whole trip for that matter) and i got there safely.
this one's for you zach(somewhere between tennessee and south carolina):
i'm talking to my mom while driving 85mph and taking a picture...sketchy:
these last few pictures were taken in downtown charleston where we spent part of the day.
i ponder the color blue:
we fought like soldiers, we died wearing khaki:
