So I don't regularly write in my live journal anymore...its funny once you've been removed from the element that triggers emotional highs and lows like no other (ie: MEN) how unnconnected to emotions we can really be...no I am not living on an island of all women (although christ it feels that way sometimes..) whatever you do, don't burn your bridges behinds you. I'd think that finding someone and living on an island like you sound like you do is almost everybody's picture of paradise, dude! perhaps when all is said and done you can return back and settle there?
i doubt it applies to you, but wikipedia up "quarter life crisis" and see if any of it rings true?
it's good to know that you're doing well for yourself, kelly. you're still a drunk in my eyes, though!

I don't know if you're still living on Catalina but I've always wanted to live there since I read a book called, "And Bring All Your Folks", a book written I guess back in the 1950s about all the Channel Islands. After I read that book as a kid, I've always wanted to live on Catalina or one of the islands. I guess the only island one can live on now is Catalina. I'm 55 and live in Berlin. I'm the adventurous type and came to Berlin with $150 in my pocket and didn't speak one word of german. That was seventeen years ago. Now I work in a home for chronic psychiatric patients. But, being from California I'm not crazy about the winters in Berlin even though "ich bin ein Berliner". Anyway Kelly, how did or do you like life on Catalina and is it possible to live there if you're not rich? I would still like to live there after all these years. Take are,
sincerely,
Kevin in Berlin
