Ugh. I love my 30 minute erg pieces where I'm proud if the split is under 2:19. How competitive is fall rowing at MIT?

Which classes are you in?

If I'm doing steady state at an 18 for 30 minutes, I'm expected to pull 2:19. Our first 6k hast to be faster than last year's best 6k to get back on the water. It's pretty hardcore sometimes :)

Classes:
Intro to Neuroscience
--"this is a neuron" "no homework"
Intro to Computational Neuroscience
--"this is physics E&M on steroids"
Biology
--"As professor, I expect you to filter through my rambling lectures to find the important stuff"
Reading/Writing the Short Story
-- Crazy teacher "Come, my youth, share your thoughts!" (he's actually pretty cool)
Organic Chem
-- "A small piece of ice which lived in a test tube fell in love with a Bunsen burner. 'Bunsen! my flame! I melt whenever I see you' said the ice. The Bunsen burner replied: 'It's just a phase you're going through'."

Do most people make that standard? If they do, I guess it's a good one... if not, then that seems like a waste of potential water time (especially depending on how close/far from the target someone is).

Let's make plans to get together.
