My darling, my baby the days fade into seasons. I try to connect, but I can’t cause I’m bleedin’. The stains trail across wherever I go, and weeping wounds gape so everyone knows.

(chorus)
I thought I found the perfect tailor to mend a broken heart, but her golden thread turned to brass as the suctures fell apart. I told her I loved her as a matter of fact, but she lied through her teeth when she whispered it back.

Its a game of deceit they all seem to play, with slight variations they hold you at bay. Their promises break and your will does the same, when they fail to mention its all just a game.

Just a game...

Well the pills that I’ve taken are making me seize and the door’s been barred so no one can see. If I live through the night I think I’ll be okay, but I never once thought it was all just a game.
