I sent a letter to my brother about a month ago. And this may not seem like a big deal, but it really was for me. I told him all the things that I have been meaning to say over the years, mostly about out Mom and how all that shit has effected me. And seeing that we are brothers it makes sense that we would be able to understand oneanother on this

Things don't get better all at once, usually. I agree that he ought to have talked to you about the letter first, but he probably thinks he did the right thing. Anyway, try to learn the stuff, see the sights, and have fun in spite of all that!
