7.

my last day at work.
and the night of our bachelor parties.

[why do we feel the need
to set aside a special time
to say good bye to singleness,
that 'disease' people are always
trying to get rid of?
is it for us,
or are we treating our friends
to one last night out alone?]

from here on out,
time is going to fly.

I think it's like a wake. We all come to say our final farewells to the friends we used to have. It won't ever be the same again

but that doesn't mean it won't be better

Funny that we put so much into celebrating marriage, but because of marriage, we also have to celebrate being single.
