And my problem is the 'by god' ... don't want someone in office who is quite that into his god.

Since I was using that statement exphatically, with a lower case g, I could have just have easily said "by my anus". Really, but that statement just doesn't do it for me ( ... )

I don't mind that he is a Christian. I mind that at speeches and talks on the trail he has preachers and gospel choirs opening for him. I mind that earlier in the campaign (he has cleaned it up some) he seemed to try to mention god in every concept. I mind that he had to go to his home church to ask god if this was the right thing to do when he was thinking about running. I mind that his speeches at churches pander more to the religious right than his speeches at non - churches. I do not want a faith based government / socioty. I do not want religious morality to be enforced upon me. That is what caused a lot of the stupid laws in the first place. That is what I am afraid that he wants. Plus I think that he is a bit of a nutter when it comes to religion. I hope that I am wrong, because I think he has a damn good shot at getting the presidency.

He was in Fayetteville yesterday. Had some pretty interesting things to say about the war.
