KaBOOM!

Today I had a glass cup SHATTER in my hand. Like, I was just holding it and it literally exploded with a poping noise. Pieces went everywhere and the hand I was holding it in got covered in like shards of glass, like the size of a grain of rice. It took forever to get 'em all off.
I'm fine but so confused because we can't figure out why it did that
