The number I got was...7694. I'm to write that in one day. Even on my better NaNo days, I struggle to reach that high -- and I'm hardly running on the same adrenaline. Can I make it?

Kicks in the butt are what NaNo's all about. Could you manage it during school, though? I sure couldn't. I'd wait it out and do a self-NaNo another month.

I hope to make this prompt work for me outside the event; if it does, I'll use it for the rest of the year. There's twelve months in all, and I'd like to write during each one. A randomized daily goal actually sounds kind of fun; so far, it's actually more appealing than self-appointed goals, since the latter's arbitrary nature makes bending/breaking them a lot more tempting.

Wanna try doin' the daily count thing? If it works, we could be writing buddies.
