I...promise a more coherent and longer comment when I'm not so dead tired. But seriously. Love this. Want more. NEED MORE.

Yay!
Okay, more coherent:
zomg.
Seriously, when I started reading (and before, when you were talking about it), I had my doubts. Picturing Hei as 'arrogant' in any manner was just really hard to wrap my mind around (unless it was Heivy. XD), and I almost thought that maybe it wasn't going to be that great.
You totally, absolutely proved me wrong.
By the end of that, -I- wanted to hit him for being such a jerk! But at the same time you were able to paint Ed in such a light that his actions weren't quite justified simply by his own attitude towards things. I really cannot wait to see what comes of this. It. Is. Awesome. x)

*squeal*
You turn me in to such a fangirl. XD;

<33 Thanks. Yeah, I figured Alfons as "arrogant" was going to be a hard sell, considering how he is in canon - but well, if you think about it, a 15 year old boy genius probably DOES have his moments of being utterly arrogant XD; And Ed is of course, as you so astutely noted, a biased observer...we're seeing through his eyes, but is the information we're getting entirely accurate? Mwahahaha...

*goes to finish next part*

i like how you've made it that these two weren't immediately drawn together. it gives the feeling that these two are going to learn to have to like each other, or something of the like ^.^ i like it!

*waits impatiently for the rest >.<*

<3 Thanks, glad you like it thus far! They are going to have to learn to like each other, and stop being so ridiculously competitive XD;

They're so completely boys in this! It's awesome! Ed is completely interpreting everything wrong but is still playing his best by the rules he knows and Alfons has no idea what he's gotten into. XD And all the little details were completely sweet. Will there be more of this? ^^

<3 Hopefully in a few hours here, barring me being a total waste of space XD Yeah, I love having the chance to write them being completely horrible to each other for once - it's a nice change of pace :)

Reading them like that actually gives them a lot more depth. You rarely read Alfons being angry or frustrated or showing that side of himself at all, and you know Edward is capable of that behavior but rarely see it in alter!world fics. XD That perspective should make them more interesting to write in the future.

Yeah - I figure even before the whole blood-and-dying bit to stress things, it had to be hard for Alfons to deal with Edward (and vice versa, for Ed to deal with Alfons!) They're both young and brilliant, and two geniuses in the same room does not always lead to instant rapport. I always figured they must have locked heads at least at least once in the course of their relationship XD;
