So ever since the new anime has gotten the green light, we've seen a variety of fan reactions to the news -- everything from ecstatic howls to horrified screams. The current speculation is that the new series would be a more faithful adaptation of Arakawa's original manga story, based on the fact that the promo materials for the announcement have ( Read more... )

I agree with you whole heartedly. I'm excited to see how this will all turn out. And hey, anything more with my favorite characters makes me happy. Bring it on! ^___^

There's going to be a new FMA anime, probably starting in 09. No official word yet, but most fan speculation is that it'll be based more on the mangaverse.

Well said. It's nice to see someone being reasonable about it. ^_^ Personally, I'm so fixated on everything FMA that I'll probably love it even if it's terrible.

Come on, you're not the only one who loves that rollercoaster ride through plot holes. Actually I'll be sadder for the movie to go than for the old anime (though yes, I know they're not going anywhere, but it still feels like they're dismissing it as something rather silly they did in their youth and don't want to talk about right now). I know, I know, the heresy.

Hehe...well, I'm pretty sad about the movie 'going' too, given that it's where I got my OTP from, but I've long since being resigned to being one of the few, the strange, the HeiEd shippers XDDDD

Hear, hear. I don't understand the rush to judgement for something THAT HASN'T EVEN BEEN MADE YET!!! We don't even know what part of the story is going to be made, but there are people lamenting and hating so hard that you'd swear Arakawa or Bones had killed and eaten their puppy.
