Al doesn't have Ed's issue with milk, so he's not as picky with his ice cream - after being in armor for so long, he absolutely loves pretty much any food anyway. He is very cute though, and he knows the best way to get something is to be polite and ask nicely...especially when you're little and adorable.

Also, I think Alfons will be mildly horrified by some of the things that are done in the name of his country, but had he never met Ed, he might have wound up getting swept into things. His stance is more that he wants to do his research and glorify his country that way, and unfortunately rocket engines would be of great interest to the military if Alfons could use them to create long range bombers. I picture Alfons as being just patriotic enough to be intentionally blind to what was really going on until he woke up one day and was being labeled a war criminal.

If Alfons were born into an AU where he lived now, I think he'd dress like most engineers - jeans and a geeky t-shirt, maybe with a flannel jacket. He'd definitely feel most at home in hacker/gearhead culture. His parents would have raised him to clean up when necessary so he'll wear nice slacks/suits to weddings and such, but on his own he won't mind being a normal engineer

Yeah, poor Alfons being time warped would be such a double edged sword - on one hand he'd get to see so much interesting technology, airplanes that go faster than sound, the moon landing, Hubble Telescope, etc. On the other, he'd be so confused by how girls walk around hardly wearing anything.

I don't have a good question in mind, but I got totally thrown by your layout, which I briefly thought was like...a broken toilet seat on leaves. And I was TOTALLY BAFFLED BY IT.

OH, now I have a question. How does Ed feel about Al's girlfriend/wife?

Ed is exceedingly suspicious and doesn't at all like her, he keeps thinking she's too much of a crazy bitch for his precious little brother. He even fights with Al about it, but as always he gets his ass kicked.

This is one I actually have never thought about before!

I think Alfons, being European though, would normally go for just straight coffee or straight espresso. If introduced to lattes, he'll go for those, he doesn't have Ed's issues with milk. So I guess...venti whole milk latte?

Okay, but Ed makes fun of him the entire time. Ed hates soy milk only slightly less than real milk XD
