Haha, I agree with you about ghosts. I'm pretty skeptical, but at the same time, every so often, I do wonder.

Anyway, sure, I'll do this! What's up!?

1. Your title is "a severe lack of pinwheels", but your name has a severe lack of vowels! Is Vwl an acronym? Am I completely insane for thinking of it as v-buy an o-w-buy an e-l? :)

2. Do you believe in dessert?

3. Since your icon has Ling in it, tell me something that only you know about him!

4. If you could go anywhere, right now, for the evening, where would you go? Assume money is no object.

5. Tell me something interesting about the place where you grew up.

I'm pretty terrible at reposting (and too lazy to ask people questions), so here are my answers.

1. "Vwl" is an acronym! People have made the jump to 'vowel' in the past, which is something I didn't think of when I made this up. Waaaay back when I was in high school and first got on teh intarwebz (and was into Sailormoon, for the record), my screen name was "Very Wicked Lady." So then when I made my LJ during this point in my life, of course I made my username vwl. I actually started going by Rydia about a year after I got the journal. rydia, of course, is already taken. :| And vwl is just so much easier to type than 'rydiahighwind.' (If you are curious about 'a severe lack of pinwheels,' see this and then this.)

2. Of course! I'm not a big fan of dessert food, except ice cream. ICE CREAM! I love ice cream.

3. I happen to know for a fact that Ling is a terrible, terrible driver. Never ride with him and/or lend him your car.

4. I'm pretty boring, so I'd probably just go visit celestialphoenx. :B ( ... )

1. Where did you get your idea for your lj name?

2. Your icon says that Ed wants his allowance. If I gave you an allowance of a million dollars tomorrow, but told you that you could only spend it on completely selfish things for yourself, what would you buy?

3. What is one of your real life hobbies?

4. If you had a secret super power, what would it be?

5. Tell me about one of your favorite childhood pasttimes.

1. If you could study any subject of your choosing for free Just Because, what would it be?

2. Have you ever done any "risky" sports? (Bungee jumping, white water rapid rafting, skydiving, etc). If not, is there one that appeals to you?

3. Is there a special place you like to go to think or create? What is it like?

4. Do you play any instruments?

5. What inspires you most?

1. Is there anything you learned (skill, bit of trivia) because of a fanfic or fandom? If so, what was it?

2. What is your beverage of choice?

3. Do you have a personal motto or mantra? (Ie, "Don't worry, be happy"?) If so, what is it?

4. Where on earth would you LEAST like to live?

5. What has Ceiling Ling decreed most recently?

1. I have learnt a lot about dog grooming through being buddies with enemytosleep, although I'm not sure that counts ... I have picked up lots of pointless historical trivia through doing research for FMA fic, e.g. when domestic vacuum cleaners first came into use (surprisingly early), did 1930s sports cars have gears, etc. Sadly there is an emphasis on key questions like "when did lube/disposable condoms come into regular use?", "what kind of flogger has more heavier tails?" And so forth.

2. Fresh black coffee, unsweetened, French press. I am just brewing some now. Or good espresso. Without it I am a cranky zombie, so much so that my wife has been known to enforce a stop for my morning coffee on road trips before I can even whine about it.

3. "Always use more lube than you think you need." :D

4. Slough. Just outside London. The original British version of The Office was set in Slough rather than in Scranton, NJ. Other places I would not like to live include Bulgaria, New Jersey, anywhere full of creationists, and anywhere teh gay is ( ... )

XDD Ceiling-Ed thinks crack pie sounds delicious, but he would like to see someone about all these stamps he seems to be accumulating. At this rate people are going to think Ling's name is tattooed on his rear.

1. If you had to get a companion for Chrestomanci, what kind of cat would you like to get? What would you name him or her?

2. What is your current favorite song?

3. Do you have a favorite season?

4. Have you ever played a sport (for a school team or little league)?

5. Are you a big picture person or a small details person?

1) If I get a kitty friend for Chrestomanci (and I probably will at some point) I'd want to get a female cat, younger, and one who is friendly and playful with cats. Ideally I'd like a manx, or a polydactyl cat, since I had a kitty as a child who was both and I miss her. :(

2) Current favorite song has got to be The Cruxshadows "Sophia."

3) Probably Spring is my favorite season, at least if it's actually springlike and not just winter until April like THIS YEAR! >E But yeah. Even if fall weather is nice, it feels very pessimistic, like time is running out. Even on bad days in Spring, you can at least hope that things will be better tomorrow.

4) Soccer was my sport as a kid! I was decent at it, but not enough to keep playing into high school or college. Oddly enough, I don't enjoy PLAYING soccer, because it makes me feel restless and like I wanna be out there.

5) I think I have to say small details person, because I can get lost in the miniutae of things fairly easily and lose track of things/
