[Voice]

[Not surprisingly for Vexen discovering something he dislikes, there's a yell of annoyance and rage. What is surprising is that it's not exactly his voice, but the voice of someone else. A possibly familiar someone as a matter of fact.]

Of all the possible choices, they had to choose him? I... I refuse to stand for this nonsense! I would ( Read more... )

[Much like old habits, old memories die hard. Instincts formed back when he was an almost-innocent, almost-harmless amnesiac apprentice to a bothersome king lead the Superior toward the source of the outcry. His mind is still lazily working out the details of his own transformation, but Vexen's raising some sort of fuss and it's... usually a good idea to check in on things when the Academic starts yelling.]

[It doesn't even dawn on him that Vexen's voice has changed until he steps into the room and hey, there's Axel. Spouting lines that match Vexen's usual voice patterns. Xemnas stands in the doorway and regards the redhead with a bland stare. All he can bring himself to say is-]

[Fortunately, the cause of this outcry is... comparatively harmless: if he does have Axel's powers, he hasn't figured out how to use them yet, and consequently the house is at least saved any inconvenient fires.

That being said, a pissy Vexen is very rarely a good thing, if only because what little social graces he has go completely out the metaphoric window.

Still, the sight of a figure straight out of his past catches him by surprise, the rant cutting off midword as he quite literally boggles and the words are out of his mouth before he can even stop them.]

M-Master Ansem?

Not quite... Axel.

[The matching flare of 'anger' from Vexen is, not unsurprisingly, far more vivid and noticeable.]

I am not and will never be Axel! Not do I have any desire to be that same individual!
