Holmes/Watson Rec-Post [Fanfiction + Podfiction]

Feb 22, 2010 02:09

I joined the fandom a few weeks ago and already read/listened to a bunch of great stories and since I wanted to 'lure' a friend of mine into the goodness that are Holmes/Watson-fics I decided to creat a short list. Everyone else is welcome to enjoy :D

Fanfiction
Title: Blind Aversion
Author: Azure Horizon
Rating: M
Summary: They’re fooling no one but they all turn a blind eye for them, anyway.

Title: Control Experiment
Author: Vertigo_Vision
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Inspired this prompt on the sherlockkink-meme:
Did you notice that riding crop Holmes carries around in the movie? He's certainly not using it for riding so the theory goes that Watson makes him carry it for discipline. We see an occasion on which it needs to be used: During one of his experiment Holmes accidently sets the rooms and almost himself on fire. Watson is not best pleased.

Title: These Things Were Promises
Author: paperclipbitch
Rating: PG
Summary: Set pre-movie. Watson has had to take a brutal course in being honest with himself so nothing Holmes says will ever be a surprise.

Title: Cauldron: A Love Letter
Author: katieforsythe
Rating: PG-13
Summary: -
Comment: Beautiful and angsty story written in Holmes' point of view. Watson married Mary and Holmes is left alone and with addition of his life being threatened he decides to leave Watson and London.. for good. It's probably my favourite Holmes/Watson fic and even if I suck at writing summaries /D check it out <3

Podfics
Title: Four Minor Interludes for the Solo Violin and Hallowed Be Thy Name
m4b: here
mp3: here
Summary: -
Comment: A beautiful story about how they fell in love with each other and how Holmes managed to accept that Watson isn't going to leave him. Along with some angsting, drugs (on Holmes part) and a great romance. It's really well written and the recording is flawless and read with a clear voice. I enjoyed every minute of more than 6 hours worth of fanfic.

Title: Homo Ex Machina
m4b: here
mp3: here
Summary: Watson gets into a rather embarrassing situation when an anonymous letter arrives with breakfast. Can he escape it without destroying his and Holmes' friendship? Should probably be described as crack.
