Ad Libitum Summary Pt. 1

I'm writing a summary for the Ad Libitum RP. This is what I have so far...I might ask for constructive criticism from the other muns, though. I don't know if this is too detailed...

Wasting Time
Asch's Arrival

THE STORY

The world is dying. Crops have ceased to grow properly and are being choked out by weeds, monsters have been attacking close to major cities and capitals, and many ships have failed to return to port, meaning trade routes between continents have been rendered useless. With these changes, the citizens have become restless. Some have begun blaming the cities' rulers, others have pointed fingers at the church, while a select few are convinced that these occurences are all a part of Martel's anger at having been trapped inside the Great Tree over a thousand years ago.

The members of Ad Libitum have been busy as a result. Ad Libitum is a series of guilds stationed within different cities. Each of the guilds has a leader, and each of the branches has vowed to work together for the good of all. The members of Ad Libitum possess special abilities and are enlisted by the people to do chores in exchange for rewards - members may deliver goods to other cities, vanquish monsters, or gather raw materials. Not just anyone can join Ad Libitum, however. You must earn the trust of your comrades and prove your worth. Bravery is only the first step.

Synopsis

Exploring the Forests Around Blessenwood

Having been summoned to Atlas by Martel, Tear Grants explores the forests around Blessenwood. She quickly realizes that this world is completely different from Auldrant, but ponders how the forest is similar to Cheagle Forest, reminding her of how cute and cuddly Cheagles are.

Tear can't quite figure out how she got to this world, let alone how to get back. In the meantime, she decides to help the locals who are clearly suffering. She notices a set of fresh footprints leading away from Blessenwood...

Wasting Time

Lloyd Irving wonders how he has arrived in Atlas, somewhat frustrated that he had been pulled from the middle of a stadium battle. His first instinct is to search for another sparring partner, but knows that most of the people in Blessenwood don't fight at all. He also realizes that Yuan is too busy for sparring. Lloyd then decides to start helping the locals as well.

Asch's Arrival

Asch the Bloody is summoned to Atlas after he had (supposedly) died in Eldrant. He is barely alive at this point, so he sleeps his first few days away at the inn, getting himself into debt and spending whatever gald he has on gels. After recovering a little, Lloyd cheerfully invites him on a quest to eliminate ten boars that are ruining the gardens. Asch is somewhat baffled by the cheer, but reluctantly agrees to go, concluding that he shouldn't be picky about jobs at this point. Lloyd assures him that he doesn't need to be an Ad Libitum to accompany him, and then says to talk to Yuan about joining.

Lloyd takes Asch to the guild building to meet Yuan, who is just returning from his daily visit to the World Tree. Yuan immediately scolds Lloyd for not taking care of the boars before noticing Asch. Lloyd swears that he's getting to it, and that he was just seeking help. Yuan explains to Asch the process for joining the guild, that he must pass a test first. Asch decides not to complain, as he doesn't want to waste his time with incompetents. He needs to be able to support himself while living in Atlas until he finds a way back to Eldrant. While pondering his situation, a certain replica comes to mind, but concludes that he can't let Luke's existance affect him as it had before. Yuan gives Asch the details on the guild, as well as the crisis in Atlas, and the locals have begun to accuse Martel of the natural disasters. Lloyd joins in the explanation, mentioning Tear's name. Asch begins to ponder again, wondering if he even has a future in Auldrant, and wonders if he'd be better off staying in Atlas. However, he also remembers a certain promise he made...

Asch then perks up at Tear's name. Lloyd asks if Tear is Asch's girlfriend, to which Asch retorts that they only work for the same organization. Yuan appears done with his explanation, so Lloyd and Asch leave to embark on their boar quest.

As they move to the west side of town, Lloyd wonders how many more people will be summoned by Martel. He worries that the situation had to be huge of Martel had exhausted all of her mana to summon these individuals. He wishes that his friends were here, but uses it as an incentive to make himself stronger. Lloyd spots the boars eating out of the gardens and raises his swords for battle...

Asch follows Lloyd, still insisting to himself that he doesn't need help. He'd rather be looking for the dreck, as he was used to providing assistance from afar. He enjoys thinking that they need him. But again, Asch realizes that he needs the job. Despite his injuries, he was confident that slaying the boars would be an easy task. His body is still too sore to fight in physical combat, so he begins casting his magic spells instead.

Lloyd takes out the first few boars, which attracts a whole group of them. Asch casts his Stalagmite spell, despite his preference to hack away at the boars with this sword. But more than anything, he refuses to show weakness in front of the dual swordsman. Lloyd realizes that he needs to step it up a bit, as Asch has already taken out more boars. He briefly wonders why Asch is casting spells instead of using his sword.

The boars gang up on Asch, forcing him to parry, concerning him that his stab wounds from Eldrant might reopen. He manages to repel a few boars with Guardian Field, but another boar manages to knock him to the ground. This forces Asch to use his sword to defend, killing the beast and forcing it off.

The remaining boars begin to wail for help, causing Lloyd to realize that the family must live nearby. The boars surround him and knock him to the ground. Lloyd tries to look for Asch, but can't see him. He stands up, slashing his way through the boars. He spots Asch and tosses a lemon gel to him.

Asch realizes that his stab wounds had reopened as he uses the gel. He curses to himself, thinking that he had healed more than this, and the quest shouldn't be this hard. He then concludes that they should keep fighting if the boars keep coming, or else it would defeat the purpose of the quest.

Asch charges at the boars, his movements improving thanks to the lemon gel. He decides that they should look for the leader of the pack. Lloyd tries to slash at the boars to clear some space, but they keep grouping up. Eventually he spots the apparent leader, a boar that is slightly larger than the others. Lloyd decides to distract by tossing some open apple gels while Asch sneaks behind the boar leader. As he moves in for the attack, Lloyd executes his Demonic Circle attack. With the leader defeated, the remaining boars are easier to kill. When the battle is over, Asch sheaths his sword.

Lloyd resorts to driving the remaining boars back into the forest, feeling somewhat sorry for them, as their food supply may have been cut short by the world crisis as well. Lloyd inquires about Asch's injury, having noticed that he seemed fine after the lemon gel. Asch insists that he's still fine, although his wounds were still threatening to reopen. Lloyd then congratulates Asch on getting into the guild. Lloyd insists that shaking hands was the last step to becoming a full-fledged Ad Libitum member, so Asch reluctantly shakes his hand.
