I'm really sorry you have to go through with that. I would just go to her after class or after school and talk to her privately and just say "I'm not comfortable with singing and being taped in front of the class. If it's alright, I would much rather do a book report for you then a song." Hopefully she'll understand. I know you must feel so awful and WICKED nervous and alreayd getting wound up. I get nervous and It builds each day the presentation gets closer (if I have to present for a class). But It's (thankfully) getting less and less. Definately ask her about the book report though ;)

Just tell the idiot *your teacher* that some kids who social anxiety problems and if she doesn't listen to you, you can get her fired :) lol seriously what is she thinking? don't worry murds, she can't make you.

apparently she can. i HAVE TO do it she said. shes like "don't make such a big deal about it." BIG DEAL!?!?! ur right it is social axiety. she like "it's just for fun." im like "first of all its a test grade and second ITS NOT FUN!! ITS HUMILIATING!!!" ugh!! im ok with writing it but i WON'T sing it. nope saahyaah.
