Mountaineering weekend

I should know better than to do a mountaineering weekend with D. I'm a sloth in comparison. Did the Dover day walk, which D led. Estimate distance which he'd told us was 10-12 miles. My first day walk ever (and last) with them. Previously, I always had alternate plans or wasn't in London to do the day walks. Some days, I was just plain lazy. Still

Ah. You must mean the shingles. I used to collect small rocks on my hiking trips, but eventually gave up because the collection got rather ridiculous and it was stupid carting rocks around when I was moving from one place to another. Added burden.
