I see you succumbed to the Guitar Hero 2 addiction much like Laura and Dave. Currently, it's dandelion greens for those of the guinea pig persuasion and Guitar Hero 2 for those of the human persuasion... ex-cell-ent.
I say that you should sell the Craigslist TV and try your luck with a clearer incarnation. Regular (non-flat screen) televisions are fairly inexpensive everywhere. In fact, not only do I see many fully functional free ones in Davis given away by people, but there are some enormous TVs at the Davis ASPCA thrift store which theoretically work just fine for around $5.00.
I might advise against injuring yourself for a video game. But then, I'm probably just jealous of your ability to play at home. As for the TV, did you get a chance to look at it before buying it? Is there any way to adjust it?
I made sure it worked before purchasing it, but didn't bother to make the guy re-hook it up to any equipment, so i was unable to ascertain the quality of the image before purchase. I just assumed that tv's are all pretty much the same, and that an older tv just means that it is bigger, not crappier. After speaking with my mom, though, i guess that many people aren't terribly concerned with quality whenthey can have something bigger, but my dad is very into gettin quality sets, and thus why i have had only quality hand-me-downs.
I can adjust it to be clearer, but only at the cost of brightness. Like alot of brightness. You'll see.
