Technically, you're not licensed until you take that nice certificate into the DMV and have them add "M1" onto your license. :-p

Congrats on passing the MSF class! It's not an easy test, and a lot of the stuff they teach you falls into the category of "you don't know what you don't know". Look forward to two weeks from now when we can go riding, hopefully.

thanks. Yeah, i really wasn't expecting to pass the test (as my braking and fig-8 had been spotty on practice, but damn if i didn't do right when it mattered.

hence the word "nearly" ;)

it's some hardcore shit. I didn't even stay 100% in the lines, though i apparently did it well enough to pass :)

the technique for it is really weird; you're looking over your shoulder completely the opposite direction fo travel (in order to look ahead to where you are going in the u-turn), with your ass hanging off the opposite side of the seat in order to counterbalance.

I much prefer driving in the shape of pi than a figure 8... silly conformists.

You're now only one test away from having your motorcycle ownership dreams realized... you deserve copious amounts of praise, and perhaps some falafel.
