School:
Man oh man school suck right now. Basically, all the papers/tests/projects from this semester are due in the next 3 weeks, and damn are my fingers tired. Even though i'm working a little ahead (finished a paper 2 weeks early this last weekend; first time getting something done early in my scholastic career), every weekend from here until memorial day looks like a suckfest of schoolwork. Blah. Luckily, i have that memorial day weekend in pismo to look forward to when it's all over.
On a still-school-related note, my schedule for the fall semester is coming in and damn it's going to be impacted. I start practicum next semester, which means tons of lab hours actually counseling random people, which means i have no idea how i'm going to fit 2 practicum classes (each about 7hrs a pop) PLUS the class i'm going to TA for (another 5ish hours), PLUS my regular, academic classes (another 6ish hours). Now i know why suicide rates soar among those with higher levels of education...
Oh, and as always, navigating the csus class registration system has been somewhat similar to dragging a wet cat through a chess game and hoping for a checkmate. It's really that bad.
Work:
Although the mechanics of work are currently going just fine, the long drives are actually starting to get to me. AND, i have no idea how i will be able to manipulate my work schedule around my school schedule come fall. In fact, it seems nearly impossible. The only problem is that finding a job at the pay i'm currently getting AND the flexibility i'm currently getting sounds impossible. Luckily, when i account for driving time and gas money, if i worked closer to school i could take a job for much less pay and be better off financially. But damn do i hate looking for a job.
Games:
Finally, the fun part :) I almost got stressed out there...
My continuing addiction to wow is still going strong, with no end in sight. My main solo hunter is still maintaining a steady leveling structure of one level/day as i'm able to get 6-7 hrs/week of questing with him, while my alt warrior is not far behind as i am able to get about 5 hrs/week with him in a group with ian and other random people we pick up. Casyup also recently joined in on the wowish mayhem, so i think it be our goal to get his shammy up to level with our group guys so we can play as a regular 3-man group, which would be pretty effing tight for questing.
Other:
My birthday is tomorrow, and while i'm not overly thrilled with the prospect of turning one year older, i am certainly looking forwrad to taking the day off of school/work. I figure i will make it a day of simple, carnal justin delights. I'll start off by sleeping in till i feel like getting up, then will follow that up with 8-9 hours of playing wow, get my peeps to take me out someplace that serves food and beer, then retire back to my home for kinky sex and a few episodes of Lost over cocktails.
