We don't need this for evidence that the Thylacine may still be alive. The chances are minutely slim, it's a much bigger, more visible animal, but there is still a lot of thick forest on Tasmania despite loggers being determined to cut it all down.

The Noisy Scrub Bird and Gilbert's Potoroo (among others), were also thought to be extinct for many years.

*Extinct. "Extincted" isn't a word. =P

Is not active? zhivoi March 12 2010, 01:31:13 UTC
I think that "extincted" is correct in this situation.

It is a passive form, not active. This animal was exincted because of human activity, it did not want to exinct actively.

Nope, sorry. Extinct is the adjective. It's correct to say "extinct cat" just like you would say "orange cat". :)

But neat entry all the same.

I am absolutely with you!

I am very glad that the frog is still alive! People created too much trouble for the planets living organisms! We have forgotten that every species is a result of millions years of evolution and that the extinction of any animal spesies is in fact a horrible tragedy!

I hope that there are other hidden species on our planet.

Our world is full of enigmatic creaturers and I hope that one day scientists will prove existence of tasmanian tiger and other species that are supposetly exinct.
