I understand a lot of things but I don't get how the majority of women (I say "majority" to play it safe; if you have a vagina and are reading this than I guarantee you're guilty) can't keep their mouth shut. Like, ever. Got some hot gossip? Gotta spill it to the ladies in the bathroom stall next to you. Someone called you late last night with ( Read more... )

There are boys who blab too. But yeah, most girls suck at secrets. I honestly don't have secrets of my own after telling friends or even bestfriends. But I suppose I'm guilty of it too. Just not with every secret I hear.

I am in the category you talked about. But after making two big mistakes. I don't make any other. So I only talk to my boyfriend. It just takes a while to draw a line between what to say, and what not to say. Who you say it to has a lot to do with it as well.

I think it's different with boyfriends depending on the secret. I trust Tom so I tell him a lot of stuff. He's my bestfriend so who the hell else am I supposed to talk to? ha.

I think it is different with them. With random girls, you don't just tell them things you know? I think you REALLY have to trust a girl you know?

This came about from people being "good friends" and "totally trusting" the other person yet it still took less than a week for the secret to circulate.

But I understand the point. I wouldn't tell a secret to someone unless they absolutely understood that they will die if I hear it from someone else in the future.

I agree with the first part of Katie's comment, and would like to add on to what she said: Everybody gossips, regardless of what's between their legs. Especially around here, because there's nothing else to do. It's not always bad stuff, though. For example, I wouldn't even know that Katie scored that job if I hadn't heard from someone else. (Btw, congratulations, Katie, because I know you'll read this.)

"Women are almost entirely incapable of this."I believe that this is pretty untrue, even after taking the "almost" into account. Either that or it's just as true for males- They just don't call it gossiping. I'm personally sitting on more than a few things I've never told anybody and have no intention of ever telling anybody, regardless of who they are. People don't know who's keeping secrets and who's not, because once someone else finds out, it's obviously not a secret anymore. Like I said before, if you tell someone something, who they tell (or don't tell) doesn't depend on the chromosomes they've got, it depends on who they are ( ... )
