Guitar Hero 2 or 3?

For those who know the difference, which do you prefer? Right now I'm leaning towards 3 but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

three.

Two has a lot of good songs. So does three.

But I think its way funner to play three.

i would say GH2... but i prefer the song selection on GH1, better. GH3 has too many songs by bands ive never heard of. it also seems to have more metal, which i dont like to play. also: i dont like the way the star power works on GH3. its subtle, but its different.

why are you leaning towards 3?

How does star power work in 3 that's different or subtle? Leaning towards 3 only because I played it more that 2. And by more I mean only once, a month ago.

I prefer GHII over GHIII. I'm just not a big fan of the tunes in the third installment. Ultimately, I wish they'd port the original over to the 360... but the second one is my next fave.

Alas, it doesn't come with three friends to play with and my roommate isn't really down with all that rhythm based game nonsense.

Well then your roommate sucks :(

I looove rock band. I'm pretty bad at guitar hero (I think my pinky fingers are too weak... baha how dumb) BUT the drumming on rock band is so much fun. And when you get a bunch of people together you all sing and ahh its crazy fun. But definitely a pretty social game....

I like two, only because that's the only one I have played.
Hi, Tom.
How have you been?

If you could stretch a long, drawn out sigh over the course of two years and apply it to physical properties then you'd have a good idea. Nice to hear from you :-)
