I went over to Helping Hounds today to take some photos of Nelly, a dog who has been there for WAY too long. She's a good girl, but SO high energy. I see Lab/Pointer/Pitbull, and maybe some herdy kind of dog. She looks a ton like a dog I had named Gunner and he was lab/basset hound/springer spaniel/pointer thingy. AND WE THOUGHT HE'D BE A GOOD PET FOR PEOPLE IN A SMALL HOUSE IN THE CITY. LoL no, he was rehomed and was an excellent hunting dog.

She could be ok in the city in a small house if she were BIG TIME mentally and physically exercised each day. She actually does REALLY well being crated for much of the day at the rescue (which is sort of half shelter/half rescue). She settles nicely.
I really do think she needs to be in a sport home. She'd do SO well with someone who wanted a dog to do sports.
