So, yeah, I broke down and found the video of performance on YouTube. I really try to ignore the latest drama and gossip around the Britney, Paris, Lindsay, ect. group. Because, let's face it, it is always sort of boring and a waste of time. I heard from numerous sources how horrifying it was and how it was just this complete trainwreck, however ( Read more... )

I think the utter tragedy of the Britney performance is that it was just . . . so lackluster. And she's not supposed to be lackluster! She's Britney.

I am still crossin' my fingers for a big awesome comeback.

I'm going to have nightmares about Sarah Silverman forever. The monsters under my bed, the bogeymen in my closet? They are all Sarah Silverman.

Shudder.

LOL, i felt the exact same way about the Sarah Silverman part. Most of it was horrifying, but when she said, "is Amy Winehouse jewish? because if she isn't, someone needs to tell her face" I died laughing. It was awesome.

I avoid that shit too...(except I'm embarrassed to admit that I watched the last Simple Life, 'cause they were at camp!). Actually I avoid most things in the media because it's either bad news, way blown out of proportion, or not newsworthy. The only "news" I get is from Jon Stewart. I actually set up my dvr/tivo to start recording him again 'cause it's been a while. That's all the news I need.

I thought it was pretty bad. Perhaps because it's been hyped up for weeks and the amount of money anbd press that went into that performance...and for her to forgot her dance steps, look lost and not 'sing' along correctly with the recorded version.... I thought it was pretty painful but you're right, it's not like she fell or fled the stage. E! and other news outlets said she cried backstage afterwards.

I think the girl should just move back to Louisiana with her two boys and get her life back on track. *nods*

Okay, if it was super hyped and everything, then that was definitely horrifying. But as someone who only caught this hype, I was expecting her to completely freeze and stumble around the stage or something lol.

Yes, she definitely needs to just hide from the spotlight for awhile and spend time with family. It's obviously taken a toll on her. Yikes.
