My mom has some weird things like the turtledoves too. Like, if your palm itches you're going to get money, if your ear itches someone is talking about you, or if your nose itches you're going to kiss a fool. Oh, and if your foot itches you're going to walk on strange ground. There's also all these things about if a piece of silverware falls, someone (the gender depends on the silverware) is going to come from that direction. My roommates think it's hilarious.

My great grandmother used to say the same about my hand itching; if it was the right it meant I was going to get money or if it was my left one I was going to loose money.
