The more days I spend working as a new grad in the ICU the dumber I feel. Seriously. But that's the way it's supposed to be, say the experienced nurses, so I'll believe them. I'm young for a nurse. I'm very young for an ICU nurse. One of the cardiac surgeons asked me yesterday if I'd even graduated high school yet. Big statement. I think

That's funny--you don't seem especially young looking to me. I guess that's cause I've known you long enough to watch you grow up some (awwww *sniff sniff, blot misty eyes*). Anyway, they'll get over it when they see how hardworking and smart you are. Its all good.

yeh they says you have to pay your dues before you rip the benefits... i guess that's true in any profession... very few can go straight to the top without any hardship.
