How Haise had ended in that position was something neither him could explain.

Chained to a wall, his gun and all his other gear gone, the only thing making him company being the lonely window that showed a tiny part of the dark sky.

Shooting stars. He could see countless of them, traveling around the firmament, marking the deep shade of purple that was the sky of that alien planet.

Haise worked to the stellar federation as an investigator, going to various planets where suspicious activities could be taking place.

It was dangerous, he even made enemies all around the quadrant, but Haise thought it was worth it, protecting the order and the peace.

However, as much as he had undergone terrible situations, that was the first time he saw himself like that, in what seemed like an old cave, completely unprotected.

"--Is someone there?"

He tentatively called, forcing the chains and finding out how strong they were.

Okay... It was clear now; he was a prisoner.

Sasaki was obliged to stay alone for what seemed like hours, his head slowly, but surely, cleaning out until he could remember what had happened.

He was at a bar, an alien bar, drinking some weird beverage that tasted like banana (it was really good!), and that was when he saw him.

Truly, Haise wasn't someone who usually approached others with intentions to take them to his bed, but the black-haired male was everything Sasaki had ever dreamed of.

He didn't remember his pick up line exactly, but he remembered the name, Kaneki, the blush that covered his face, how cute he was when stuttering... And Haise also remembered the white-haired male, Shiro, Kaneki's boyfriend.

So, Shiro may have hit him (that would explain the pain in his face), and probably he was the one responsible by Haise being chained to a wall.

Right, that was really unfortunate, but Haise couldn't say he regretted everything, oh no.

He sat on the dirty ground, only looking at the shooting stars, wishing he could go home already, remembering that old human tale that stars actually heard and made wishes come true.

But hours passed and he was still alone there.

Maybe it was just a myth, after all.

.

"Sasaki Haise?"

The two-tone-haired male looked up when he heard his name being called, barely believing in his own eyes.

"Kaneki."

It was him, right at arm reach, and Haise even tried to touch the other only to have the chain hurting his wrist.

"Please, don't! You'll only hurt yourself more."

Kaneki said, sounding worried, rushing until he was face to face with Haise.

"...I'm glad I could see you again...", the investigator was saying, letting Kaneki run delicate fingers over his face. "I'm sorry I made your boyfriend upset..."

"It's fine... He is not my boyfriend... It's my brother...”, he was saying while applying something cold into Sasaki's cheek.

"But he said you two were about to marry..."

"That's what he wants, mister Sasaki..."

Alien culture, though, it wasn't as different as the human one in some aspects...

"I'll let you go, Sasaki Haise, your spaceship is really nearby... At a time like that, no one will be able to see you..."

Kaneki was explaining while opening the shackles, finally setting the other male free.

"Please, this way."

Kaneki gave Haise some seconds to recompose himself before leading the way.

"Your things are next the ship... I let them there."

And they finally arrived, the spaceship being one of a medium size, enough for at least four persons.

"Wait... What about you, Kaneki?"

The two-tone-haired male asked suddenly, turning to look at the other.

Haise didn't know much about him, but he knew that planet, the one where Kaneki lived, was a really shitty place, full of pirates, thieves and all the bad things one could think of, (really, it wasn't a good idea drinking in that bar...).

"You can come with me."

Kaneki almost gagged in his own spit.

"Mister Sasaki... I-I don't think this is a good idea..."

"Why not?" Haise asked while opening the door of his ship, initializing the A.I and placing all his gear inside it, but the gun, that was now at his back.

"Kaneki, I know we've barely met, but I find myself in debt with you... Also, I really don't want to leave you behind, in a planet rated as S", which was one of the most dangerous ranks.

The black-haired male looked behind, at the planet that was only poverty, piles of garbage and corruption. He visualized his brother, that was kind (at least to him), but also forceful, he saw an entire life built on misery.

He then looked at his front, at Haise, seeing promises of adventures, mysteries and companionship. He also saw insecurities, even the probability of dying of there, but then, wasn't he going to die eventually?

Haise extended a hand.

Kaneki looked up, at the shooting stars, wishing that they could give him enough courage and luck.

"I promise you, nothing bad will happen."

And Kaneki believed Haise.
