Although I agree with you, I really don't think that it is fair to call these kids incompetant or delinguintes, because it is not their fault that they aren't as progressed as they "should" be. They have decided to stick with orchestra, and that in itself is something that should be applauded--even if Mrs. Kate should never walk into another classroom again. It is unfortunate that our orchestra program has withered down into something much less than the beauty it once was, but it still isn't fair to repremand these poor kids so harshly, because it really is not their fault. Regardless of the situation, our district is fortunate enough to actually HAVE an orchestra program--one that is very outstanding at that--and while kids still continue to stick with it we should continue to support their efforts. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. teehee.
