Name: Karma
Age: 22, almost 23 <<;
Gender (would you be comfortable with being stamped as an opposite gender?): Female, and I don't care about gender.
Describe your personality in as much detail as possible (links to personality types are very welcome, too): If I were to be described by type,
ISTP fits me pretty well. I'm a
Reserved Experiencer, and a
Type 5 in the enneagram. I'm not sure if they're the best fits, but I tend to get those results and certain aspects do describe me well. I have a desire to learn about “how things work” and I like what is tangible. I am usually more logical in my decisions than emotional, but my emotions run strong. For example, I do have a temper and I can be hot-blooded at times but in day to day life I don't think I base as much of my decisions on emotions. I have a lot of inner dialogue going on in my head, and I like learning both information and skills. I'm quite restless. I'm always searching for something, I don't always know what, but I feel that I can't stop or else I'd be bored and boredom and apathy toward goals are terrible for me.
Because of my restlessness, I have a pretty wide variety of hobbies and interests. I can be quite cheerful at times, but often how I act in front of others is different from how I feel. I hate drama, but I am an actress, so I love drama. Yep. I’m very passionate, so I tend to put full effort into what I do. The downside to that is if I’m not interested, I become flippant. I'm kind of blunt...I don't think so, but everyone else seems to think so, and I trust their judgment. I have a silly side that's more apparent around my friends. I don't act that way so much around others. I also like to do things for people. I don’t really consider myself selfless though, because I do it for myself, but I do like to help out (I wouldn’t say I need to rely on it for happiness, but it’s nice).
List some of your positive traits: I guess I'm observant in my own way, and I learn quickly. Then again, I like learning and being challenged, so I think that helps. I'm loyal to people who earn it. I'm creative...I don't think I'm the best or anything, but I do like to come up with ideas and do creative things. I'm theatrical, which I like, and cheerful when I'm not in a emotional slump.
List some of your negative traits: I'm all extremes. I consider myself a bit like water, all or nothing. It can be a good thing at times, and also incredibly frustrating for me. I have low self-esteem despite my confidence. I know I have my strengths, and I'm confident in my competence at doing something, but it's never good enough and I'm never good enough. I'm overly reserved, and people find that off-putting, guarded about my emotions. I'm not easily moved so I can be insensitive about things. I'm usually accepting, but I can be very unforgiving both to others and myself. I'm ditzy in the sense that certain things tend to fly right over my head, and theatrical-- it's not for everyone.
List some of your neutral traits: Contemplative, inquisitive, energetic.
What are you good at?: I’m usually good at academics. Then again, I don’t see any class as a waste of time, so I try to learn something from it even if it’s one I regret taking. I always score high on spatial intelligence, and I have a very easy time imagining what the outcome of theoretical situations would look like, even when people claim that it’s “hard for most people to visualize”. I tend to notice a lot of details, and I tend to retain most academic information. I’m also good at noticing the different ways people speak. I’m okay at drawing, okay at acting, and okay at voice acting, but I want to get better.
What are you not so good at?: Music. Cooking-I’m not a terrible cook, but I’m not great either. I think I have a hard time emphasizing with people when they have problems. It’s like, I feel concern toward them, and I do try to help, but I feel like I don’t manage to help at all and it’s awkward. I’m terrible at most small talk, because few topics like that interest me so I see it as a waste of time. I’m not always patient with people.
Hobbies, interests, likes: Acting, I love acting. It's where I draw my confidence and find it easier to come out of my shell, so I am interested in that and theatre & drama. I enjoy Science, particularly chemistry, physics, and astronomy. And I find history, anthropology, archaeology, and the study of mythology a lot of fun-- to the point where I originally was going to go into archaeology. I draw often, and I also enjoy costume design, experimenting with makeup, friendships, running, exploring, rainy days, swords, creating things, GOOD horror movies, science fiction, the ocean, video games, reading, RP, and water.
Pet peeves, dislikes: feeling controlled, baby talk, writing essays, the mundane, being told to smile, dress codes, the hype bought into most fashion and makeup trends, in general working with the public, spiders, escalators, when people use incorrect hygiene and they’re sick
How do others usually describe you? Can be strangers, friends, family, etc.: Intelligent, passionate, witty, reserved, creative, derpy, aloof, dramatic, blunt, unpredictable, and because one student recently described me this way - shy.
Favorite...
Animal: Dragons, dolphins, cats.
Book: Everything by Michael Crichton.
Color: Aquamarine, wisteria, silver, tea rose, sunset, rose quartz.
Food: Seafood, dark chocolate.
Movies: The Matrix Trilogy, 5 Centimeters Per Second, The Labyrinth, Star Wars, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek XI, and probably more I can’t think of.
Music: I can find something I like in every genre except country.
Game: Final Fantasy X, though I like every FF game I’ve played. The Devil May Cry series. I like first-person shooters as well, but I don't think I would consider any of them to be my favorites in terms of games, I just find them calming.
Final Fantasy character outside of Fabula Nova Crystallis: TIDUS. ♥ But I also have a soft spot for Jecht, and I really like Kuja.
Favorite personality trait?: There are a lot of traits I admire, but I tend to admire people who are always looking for new experiences and fun things. Whatever they might consider that, I usually find them interesting, which keeps me entertained, and I think it’s a good quality.
Favorite feeling?: Feeling challenged. Idk why, but it tends to excite me, and I just feel full of adrenaline when that happens. A lot of people I know just get upset and annoyed when that happens, but when it happens to me despite some initial frustration I get really thrilled and I love it.
Favorite word?: Spaghettification! I have no reason other than it’s funny to say.
Favorite quote?: “Funny how you can say something in your head and it sounds fine....” - The Eleventh Doctor. I experience this so much. There’s another quote that unfortunately I can’t find, but it goes something like this: “When you’re sketching, you can’t stop until the picture is completely destroyed. Otherwise, you’ll miss out on undiscovered gems.” It came from a Star Wars artbook I Used to own.
Favorite song lyrics? Can you relate to them?: Currently, I have some I like, but I'm not sure if I'd consider them my favorite. Often, instrumental music tends to move me more than music with lyrics.
A realist, an idealist, an optimist or a pessimist: I constantly shift between all four. I don’t really like pretending things are wonderful when they aren’t, but I don’t think things are completely awful either. There is always something good in life. I consider myself a realist who likes idealism.
Trusting or Cynical: Cynical. Not toward everyone and everything, but more than trusting.
Emotional or Stoic: Emotional. Around strangers, I tend to conceal my emotions. While I prefer to use logic and I don’t find myself attracted to drama, my emotions are still pretty strong.
Introverted or Extroverted: Introverted, trying to become more extroverted. I enjoy helping people out when it's a topic I know, or if we have similar interests, but I tend to become more withdrawn around strangers.
Independent or Dependent: I try to be independent, though occasionally I’m more dependent than I would like.
Organized or Chaotic: Organized about some things, but usually chaotic.
Cheerful or not: Usually cheerful.
Collected or Clumsy: Clumsy, but I’m quick. Like, when someone throws something at me, I can block it with my hand, even when I’m not looking, and I can jump out of the way and whatnot. Yet, I’m also the same person who ends up running into walls, and…accidentally hitting herself in the face.
Imagine you've been branded by Pulse, what would you do? Would you be scared and pessimistic, like Hope and Sazh? Optimistic and perhaps a little naive, like Snow and Vanille?: My first reaction would probably be something like, “Oh. Well. Crap.” That calmly too. But after that I think I would be annoyed and angry at the thought of being anyone’s tool. No thank you. On the bright side…at least the brand looks cool.
One of your loved ones died/dissapeared and you have a chance to save them by accepting an offer from a stranger to travel in time, would you accept it?: Sure! Why not? I might not immediately trust them, but it’s worth trying. It sounds FUN. Oh, and I'd be very interested in how they pulled it off, so I would probably be asking questions forever...or until they get tired of my questions!
Answer honestly, would you sacrifice yourself in order to stop a raging war?: That would depend on a lot of factors. If I’m the reason for the war, then yeah, I would. If it’s just people being stupid, then no, unless I’ve known people who have been hurt and died in the process. Then I might. But if not, then I’m not going to sacrifice myself because people decided it was a good idea to hurt eachother. Besides, I kind of have my doubts that people would learn from it and change…at least as a majority.
"Nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Do you believe in this saying? If not, do you consider yourself a good or bad person? Have you ever judged somebody, thinking they're completely bad with nothing to like about them?: Yeah, I believe in it. I think of life more in terms of destructive, creative, chaotic and stagnant. Still, if we can’t go on our own judgments, what do we have to go on? I guess the way I feel is, if you don’t agree with it, you don’t have to do it. But don’t try to control everyone else because of that. I have judged someone like that before, though now I can usually accept everyone has some good traits.
