Link to bits? I've just heard the summary from last night on CBC Radio. Other than delegates in both parties' primaries demonstrated heaping piles of sensibility.

Umm, not both parties. Huckabee is personable but his policies are not friendly to women or academic freedom or science.

Not to make sweeping generalizations, but did you expect that from the dinosaur-er-republican party?
OK, I _am_ making sweeping generalizations.

But compared to the last lot? Anything seems like an improvement.

the high turnout makes me feel a little better than i generally feel about US politics since bush came to power. also, i like obama a whole lot better than clinton, so his victory here is good news (i am convinced that if clinton wins the nomination, the election is lost to the democrats).

I'm happy, too, but not nearly as surprised as a lot of people seem to be. But then, I saw his senatorial campaign up-close-and-personal and it made me a believer in his ability to win over unlikely converts.
