Awww...I'm really sorry, that sounds awful! I hate when I have crappy stuff happen on my birthday. Which, if I could do away with my birthday, it would be less likely to happen. *hugs*

At least you had three quarters of a good birthday, right? Heh--and you all have something to have fun sharing a gripe about now. :) Too bad you didn't get to finish the meal, though.

I was gonna call you and wish you a happy birthday--clearly, if I had remembered, you would have gotten a good waiter. Sorry! But you may be interested to know that your birthday fell on Buddha Day this year--the day on which Siddhartha Gautana is supposed to have been born, died, and become enlightened. (Not in the same year, one presumes!) It's observed on the day of the full moon each May.
