Is there anything I can do to help? I could use some time to just let my brain do its own thing while my body works. Quiet, manual labor thinking time.

thanks, sweetie! unfortunately its mostly tractor implement work for the fields, they are too big to do anything manually, at least in any sort of decent time frame (I could've started this a month earlier and used horses, but I don't have the horses, although we have the implements for them, lol!). Plus about 90% of it can only be done with one tractor at a time, as I don't have doubles of the implements needed, so its just me and a loud diesel engine, stopping to grab a soda every once in a while.

Thanks for the offer, though!

Ok. Well, you know, if you change your mind and want me to hand plant like 5 sq ft while you do the rest on the tractor, let me know. :D

And I'd love to see the farm sometime unless it is a happy sacred personal space for you.

*hugs*

If that possum was too stupid to get out of the way, you could've just plowed him into the field. Stupid protien for the crops.

I thought about it! It was the buddhist in me that stopped me from running his dumb-ass over. I feel bad about that sort of thing...its not like I was gonna take him home for the stew pot. Ewww!

Besides I think I added enough protein to the fields with the couple of black snakes, a nest of copperhead eggs, umpteen earth worms, thousands of crickets, an occasional frog, and one poor mole.

I felt like a killing machine with the plow this year.
